Singing and Dancing for Guest Reader Day

WCAC students at WHBLC dance and sing for Guest Reader Day.
Students and staff at the Ward Career and Technical Center (WCTC) began Guest Reader Day at the Westhampton Beach Learning Center (WHBLC) by selecting books, singing, and dancing to the video and song, “Gotta Keep Reading.” The students previously learned and practiced the dance steps and lyrics during music classes with special education music teacher Robin Ruggiero who coordinated this year’s annual Guest Reader Day with curriculum teacher Susanne Agnello-Sylvester.
As the music faded out, students welcomed guest readers to their classrooms, which included numerous Eastern Suffolk BOCES administrators. Centereach Academic Center (CAC) students participated again this year, presenting well-received interactive story times with songs, props, and follow-up activities.
Reading her favorite book to WCTC students is MTC Assistant Principal Donna Singer.
