SkillsUSA State Champions, Winners, Victors!
Posted on April 17, 2006
BOCES students from across the Agency have been training, studying and preparing for SkillsUSA. The BOCES Agency is very proud of them and regards them ALL as WINNERS!
Students from the Edward J. Milliken Technical Center, H.B. Ward Technical and Academic Center, Islip Career Center and the Brookhaven Technical Center traveled up to Syracuse, New York to participate and compete in the 2006 SkillsUSA State Competition. These students have been preparing and studying for this competition for several months. Their journey to the State Competition began in March at the Regional Competition held at SUNY Farmingdale.
SkillsUSA prepares America's high performance workers. It provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes and communications skills.
